Who We Are
Lisa Bickel
I am a native New Yorker, growing up in rural Westchester County, and currently reside in the suburbs across the Hudson River. The experience of spirit connection came to me at a very early age. This began with me seeing a native American visiting me outside my bedroom window on a regular basis. Sharing a room with my sister, she never experienced the same vision. This individual is still with me to this day, and I have come to know him as my spirit guide.
Experiences included recurring dreams as a toddler, “knowing” certain things before they occurred, often involving loved ones in peril. At that time, the phrase “over-active imagination” was used to describe any particular occurrence, During this period, there was no outlets for open discussion or study, and insistence was likely to land you in treatment for mental health. Therefore, silence was the safest option. We now call this “going underground,” so to speak. This was before the internet so there were no available access to the types of information and communication available today. All of this led up to a feeling of isolation and introversion growing up.
Experimenting with cards and visiting spirits continued into adulthood, though was seldom revealed to anyone other than one or two open friends, who were few and far between.
Later on, while I attended a local ghost hunt dinner with a life-long medium, which turned out to be a turning point. The experience was wonderful to me, and after exhibiting abilities to connect and communicate with the spirits there, I was asked to accompany the staff to assist with other events. It was at this same event that I met Pam, my kindred spirit, and we became instant “sisters” and life-long friends.
This event became life-changing as I it opened up something within myself that had long been dormant. It seemed to explode out of me as if something long-caged had been released. I became acutely aware that I needed to understand my own gifts, learn about them, how to use them, and explore what else was out there. Thus began my ongoing journey into intensive study and practice.
I continue to work, study and develop to this day. I have had the privilege to have amazing teachers and mentors, and have studied under Tony Stockwell, Jaqueline Osborne, Steve Nobel, as well as others. My regular practices include intuitive readings, mediumship, channeling, and I have been certified in Trance Mediumship. However, my true passion lies in working with others to help open them up to the magical spirit realm, as well as discover and develop their own unique gifts.

I was born and raised in the suburbs of New York and from a young age I have been connected to the spiritual world. Like many of us, talking about what and who we were seeing at an early age was always met with, “that is just your imagination" and "there is no such things as ghosts!"
With all young children, we believed what we are told, and we did not normally question our parents. I started to believe it was my imagination and tried to block the unseen visitors that frequently showed themselves to me.
I was raised Catholic and attended religion classes. I soon started to defy and question the Bible, God, Angels, and the spiritual world. One thing you can't stop is the inquisitive mind of a teenager. I knew there was more to what was being taught or even willing to be discussed.
The premonitions, dreams and insight developed and grew, it become part of my daily life in my early teenage years! There were only few people I shared this secret with as I did not want to be deemed as a crazy person or be made fun of.
My whole spiritual journey was awoken with one of the brightest lights, when I attended my first ghost hunt, and those things that I saw, sensed and witnessed came to the conclusion that there were others like me, and instead of hiding my gifts, it was time to use them full time and to embrace this wonderful, challenging spiritual path. I have been fortunate enough to work for one of America's largest ghost hunting companies, I was also part of Destination America series, "Most Haunted Asylum" as well as several radio interviews and television shows across the country.
Being a ghost hunter has been fun, it has opened a lot of doors, I met thousands of people and helped so many onto the correct paths, passed on messages from those that have passed on, and it has allowed me to progress into being able to teach and educate about the spiritual world to like-minded individuals.
Besides being a Paranormal Investigator and Psychic Medium, I also developed myself by learning more about the spiritual world, studying in Reiki while becoming Mastered, Spiritual Awareness, Meditation, Psychic Development, Intuitive Readings and Metaphysical Studies.
I have hosted and presented hundreds of "Psychic Development courses" as well as many unique, intuitive courses. I know there are 1000 of people out there with like-minds and I hope to bring everyone together with much love and support.
The spiritual world is a unique one and I will never be finished with my spiritual adventures. I realized very quickly that there is always another part of the journey or another road to explore.
